Two more appeals filed to European Court of Human Rights from Azerbaijan

Baku. Mahbuba Gasimbayli-APA. Lawyers of Law Enlightenment Society have filed two more appeals to the European Court of Human Rights. Chairman of Law Enlightenment Society Intigam Aliyev told APA that one of the appeals is connected with the case of the journalists, who were not allowed to attend ex-minister Ali Insanovâ€™s trial. The other is connected with the complaints to Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, Baku Ecology Department, Baku Mayorâ€™s office and Masalli executive power against felling of trees in Baku and other areas. According to the appeals, Article 6 (right to a fair trial), 8 (right to respect for private and family life), 10 (right to freedom of expression) and 13 (right to an effective remedy) of the convention have been violated.
