Azerbaijani interior minister meets with OSCE Special Representative for Combating Human Traffic

Baku-APA. On June 17, Interior Minister of Azerbaijan, General-Colonel Ramil Usubov has met with Eva Biaudet, OSCE Special Representative for Combating human traffic, Press-Service of the Interior Ministry told APA. Minister Usubov spoke about the relations between OSCE and his organization. He said national Action Plan on Combating of Human Trafficking was approved in Azerbaijan and the interior ministry established its office for Combating Human Traffic. The Minister said the office create hotline to provide the victims of this crime with medical, psychological, legal and other assistances. He said 74 facts of human trafficking were identified in Azerbaijan in 2007 and 101 people were victims of these crimes. 85 persons were brought to justice. 39 facts and 36 victims were identified and 45 were brought in justice in 2008.
