Press-Service of Azerbaijani Interior Ministry: â€œNo force has been used against Emin Huseynovâ€

Baku. Mahbube Gasimbeyli-APA. â€œNo force has been used against Chairman of the Institute of Freedom and Security of Reporters (IFSR) Emin Huseynovâ€, Press-Service of the Interior Ministry told APA. The Ministryâ€™s officials said Emin Huseynovâ€™s statement that he faced with a force in 22nd police unit of Nasimi District Police Office on June 14 was groundless. â€œOn June 14, the 22nd police unit was informed about the unauthorized meeting in one of the cafes in that territory and police officers found about 50 peoples gathered there for the meeting not authorized by the executive authorities. The Police demanded them to leave the territory to prevent the unauthorized action, but the participants ignored it. The Police invited about 20 persons, including Emin Huseynov to the unit. They were released after the necessary warning. Emin Huseynov fell before the building, when he left the unit and later he claimed that he was beatenâ€.
The Press-Service said medical expertise identified he developed neurasthenic reaction. â€œHis claims about the physical violence were not confirmed. Emin Huseynovâ€™s statements about his beating are contradictory with each otherâ€.
