This is my personal opinion and I think the process is going in this direction”, Shamsaddin Hajiyev, Chairman of the Parliament’s Standing Commission on Science and Education told APA. Hajiyev said new bill on education made all these points clear. “Illiterate students will not attend the 10-11th classes more. They have to go to the vocational schools. There is no need to provide all students with the attestation about the full secondary level education. It is a practice accepted all over the world and the Government has already eliminated this duty”. Hajiyev said dissatisfaction with the centralized test system was groundless. “Extension of the test examination system and implementation of modern technologies make the centralized test system closer. We have created normative basis for that in the new law”. The Chairman of the Commission reacted to the second discussions on education law at the Parliament. “The Parliament will hold one more meeting after June 19. We hope that the draft law will be discussed at that meeting”. He said there wouldn’t be any problem in adoption of the law. “Adoption of the law is delayed because of heavy schedule. It needs in serious discussions. There is no other problem. There is no discordant point in the draft”.
