International Youth Employment Summit to take place in Azerbaijanâ€™s capital

Baku. Laura Jabrayilli-APA. International Youth Employment Summit will be held in Baku on September 24-28. The youth from 55 countries of the world will participate in the summit, director of Alexandria library of Egypt Ismail Serageldin, who is on visit to Azerbaijan, said, APA reports. Ismail Serageldin underlined that the problem of youth employment was a very important issue and said that youth network of the world would exchange views during the meetings.
â€œMillions of young people are unemployed after graduating from higher schools. US President Bill Clinton chaired the first conference in Alexandria in 2002. It was decided to hold summits every two years in different cities,â€ he said.
Ismail Serageldin said according to the project, the summits are to be held in Mexico in 2004, Kenya in 2006, Baku in 2008, Switzerland in 2010 and Alexandria in 2012.
