39 trespassers detained in Azerbaijan last month

26 of the trespassers are citizens of Azerbaijan, 7 Georgia, 2 Afghanistan, 2 Turkey, 1 Iran and 1 Nigeria. 35 men (26 citizens of Azerbaijan, 7 Georgia, 1 Iran and 1 Afghanistan) were detained for violating border-crossing rules, 11 (5 citizens of Azerbaijanis, 3 Kazakhstan, 2 Kyrgyzstan and 1 without citizenship) for not having relevant documents, 74 men (12 citizens of Turkey, 12 Nigeria, 11 Iran, 6 Belgium, 6 Uzbekistan, 3 France, 3 India, 2 Azerbaijan, 2 Indonesia, 2 Egypt, 2 Pakistan and citizens of the US, Algeria, Philippines, Netherlands, Croatia, Iraq, Korea, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Thailand, China (one from each state) and 1 person without citizenship) for not having visa, 29 men (9 citizens of Turkey, 6 Iran, 6 Great Britain, 2 Iraq, 1 China, 1 Georgia, 1 Italy, 1 Canada, 1 Lithuania and 1 person without citizenship) were detained, because the term of their visa expired.
58 wanted men were detained and handed over to law-enforcement bodies. Smuggling of 5.9018kg was prevented in three cases. Smuggled goods cost AZN 274.716 were detained in 30 cases. 5850 U.S. banknotes, 6mln. Russian rubbles, 1 pistol, 5 cartridges, 10120 packs of cigarettes, 1 plastic boat, 9440 liters diesel, 4672 religious books, a lot of medications, different alcoholic drinks, food, industrial and agricultural products were confiscated. /APA/
