Chopard jewelry shop opens in Baku with presence of Sevil Aliyeva and JosÃ© Carreras

APA reports that our compatriot living in London Sevil Aliyeva, world-famous tenor JosÃ© Carreras, president of Chopard Karl Scheufele, Chopardâ€™s vice-president Karin Scheufele, and president of Italdizayn group of companies Elchin Zeynalov participated in the opening ceremony. Chopard jewelry shop is situated in 28 May, 5.
President of Chopard Scheufele said that this is the 99th shop of Chopard in the world and the first in Azerbaijan. Following the opening ceremony a press conference devoted to tenor JosÃ© Carrerasâ€™ concert in Azerbaijan State Opera and Ballet Theater tomorrow. The tenor underlined that he is proud of being in Azerbaijan and pleased with warm welcome.
â€œI arrived in Baku yesterday. I familiarized myself with Azerbaijan State Opera and Ballet Theater today. You have got a very nice theater and I am glad to perform on that stage. I will sing music dating back to 18th, 19th and 20th centuries,â€ he said.
Carreras also said that he will stay in Baku till October 22 and he will familiarize himself with Baku.
â€œThis will be my first concert in Baku. One of the goals of my visit was to participate in the opening of Chopard shop in Baku. I am sure that you know this brand, the whole world is aware of its fame. Tenor stressed that he is a soloist.
â€œBut I am also planning to play parts in Opera Theatre soon. It took me 24 hours to arrive in Baku. But I was met warmly here. Baku is a beautiful city,â€ he said.
Sevil Aliyeva said in press conference that she is on friendly terms with Scheufele for already 10 years. Opening of this boutique in Baku made me glad. I do not like jewelry. But Chopard jewelry is famous in the whole world and is selected with its exclusivity.
Scheufele told me that you are godmother of Chopard,â€ she said.
Ms. Aliya expressing her satisfaction with her warmly meeting in Azerbaijan appreciated highly Jose Carrerasâ€™s visit to Baku.
Chopardâ€™s President Mr. Scheufele addressing the event said that this stamp will have a lot of buyers in Azerbaijan soon. He expressed his gratitude to Sevil Aliyeva and Jose Carreras for sharing his joy.
Mr. Scheufele said that watch is being prepared on Carrerasâ€™s name in Chopard and benefit gained from this watch will be transferred to Defense Funds led by Jose Carreras.
Vice-president of Chopard Mr. Scheufele expressed his gratitude to Sevil Aliyeva for supporting them.
â€œSevil Aliyeva can be Azerbaijani image of Chopard. It will probably happen. I am glad that our shop was opened in Baku. I am sure that Chopard will not be out of your attention,â€ he said.
Jose Carreras will give two-part concert in Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre on October 20. Chopardâ€™s jewelries will be demonstrated during the concert. /APA/
