48 seats allocated for Azerbaijanis in Turkey’s higher schools

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva – APA. In accordance with the agreement on cooperation in the field of education signed between Azerbaijan’s Education Ministry and Turkey’s Ministry of National Education, 48 seats have been allocated for Azerbaijanis in higher schools of Turkey.

The ministry told APA that by the order of the Education Ministry, Turkish delegation and Azerbaijan State Student Admission Commission held entrance exams on April 19. Turkey accepted the order of the Education Ministry and allocated seats in 12 famous universities, including Ankara, Istanbul, Bogazici, Middle East Technical University, Hacitepe, Gazi, Istanbul technical, Marmara universities on 24 main specialties (medicine, aircraft engineering, computer engineering, international relations, tourism, hotel management, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, finance, molecular biology, genetics etc.).

According to the agreement reached between the related bodies of the two countries, in order to qualify high-level personnel, Turkey allocated 12 scholarships for Azerbaijanis studying for master’s degree. The young people, who got bachelor’s degree in Azerbaijan and wish to continue their education in Turkey, should also participate in the exams organized by SSAC.
