No vaccine against swine flu as strain is not known exactly

According to her, no vaccine has been prepared against the swine flu as the strain of the deadly virus is not known exactly. The specialist said scientists were doing research in connection with it. She noted that the symptoms of the disease were similar to the ordinary flu.
â€œVomit is not observed in ordinary flu, it is observed only in weak persons. Unlike ordinary flu, vomit, diarrhea and temperature above 37 degrees are characteristic of swine flu. The disease firstly affects lungs. Incubation period of the swine flu lasts 3-4 days. Those infected with the virus die in a short period of time,â€ she said.
Asadova added that the disease was not recorded in Azerbaijan, but people should be attentive and cautious. She recommended not to eat pork, sausage and to boil meat much.

Spokesman for State Veterinary Service under Agriculture Ministry Yolchu Khanveli said the most contagious disease â€“ swine flu was mostly recorded in cold months. The symptoms of swine flu in people are similar to the symptoms of regular human flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Some people have reported diarrhea and vomiting associated with swine flu. In the past, severe illness (pneumonia and respiratory failure) and deaths have been reported with swine flu infection in people. Like seasonal flu, swine flu may cause a worsening of underlying chronic medical conditions.
Swine influenza viruses circulate among pigs throughout the year, but most outbreaks occur during the late fall and winter, just like with outbreaks in humans. Like humans, pigs get the flu. They develop a sudden fever, a barking cough, sneezing, lethargy and typically lose their appetite. Not every animal infected displays symptoms.
Signs of swine flu in pigs can include sudden onset of fever, depression, coughing (barking), discharge from the nose or eyes, sneezing, breathing difficulties, eye redness or inflammation, and going off feed.
