APA’s correspondent reports from Sweden that only 10 out of the 16 countries to be performed on May 14 will take part in Grand Final of the contest.
The first semi-final of the 58th Eurovision, the most famous song contest of Europe, will kick off today at 21:00 local time. First, Austrian representative Natália Kelly will perform with the song Shine. The performance of Serbian representative Moje band will be the last in today's semi final concert.
According to bookmakers, Denmark representative is considered to have more chances among the favorites of the first semi-final. So, 10 finalists will be announced at the semi-final concert. Following the concert, draw will be held to determine the order of performances of 10 finalists, including Big Five countries.
The second Semi-Final of the Eurovision will be held on May 16 and Grand Final on May 18. Farid Mammadov will represent Azerbaijan with the song “Hold me” at Malmö Arena on May 16.
