Tarkan: Wars should end in the Near East, children should not die

Istanbul – APA. “I want peace to be established in the Near East. These wars, conflicts should end. People, children should not die,†famous Turkish pop singer Tarkan said while commenting on the operations carried out by Israel in Gaza Strip, APA reports quoting Jihan. Before leaving for Azerbaijan Tarkan told journalists in Ataturk airport he wished 2009 to be the year of peace and stability for everybody.
“I wish there is no crisis in Turkey in the forthcoming year. I follow the happenings in Palestine from newspapers. I have always wanted peace. That’s why these happenings make me sad. So many people die. Particularly I wish peace to be established in that region. Wars should end, children should not die,†he said.
Tarkan said he would release his new album in 2009.
