Russia to allocate 1 billion ruble for organizing final stage of Eurovision-2009

Russia will allocate 1 billion ruble from the federal budget for organizing the final stage of Eurovision-2009 in Moscow, Mayor of Moscow Yury Luzhkov said this while receiving the “keys†to the event from Mayor of Belgrade Dragan Dilas, APA reports. He said that the exact amount of the money would be specified soon. European Broadcasting Union will allocate 5 million Swiss francs for the contest. Mayor said Olimpiyskiy complex, where the final of the contest would be held, would be modernized. VIP-zone will be set up there, the seats will be changed. Yury Luzhkov also said that the specialists, who participated in organizing Eurovision-2008, would be invited from Belgrade. First deputy mayor of Moscow Valeri Vinogradov said 22 hotels would receive the guests coming to Russia’s capital to watch the contest.
