The budget surplus stands at 2.1% of GDP in Azerbaijan in January-October

The incomes and expenditures of the State Budget of Azerbaijan equaled AZN 3 387.4m and AZN 2 765.9m respectively. The budget surplus stood at AZN 621.5m (4.2% of the GDP) during the period of January-October.
The incomes and expenditures of the State Budget increased by 2.1 times and 63.2%, year-over-year, in January-October, State Statistical Committee told APA.
71.4% of the Budget incomes were delivered by Taxes Ministry and 12.7% by State Customs Committee. These two bodies executed the forecast by 108.7% and 102% correspondingly.
Of the incomes, AZN 635.4m (18.8%) came from VAT, AZN 537.7m (15.9%) from profit tax, AZN 238.3m (7%) from income deductions, AZN 131.4m (3.9%) from excise tax, and AZN 211.3m (7.3%) from foreign business activities.
Of the expenditures, AZN 261m (9.4%) was used for social protection and security, AZN 347.6 m (12.6%) for education, AZN 969.9 m (35.1%) for investment making.
Salaries, pensions and allowances constituted AZN 833.9m (30.1%) in the structure of Budget expenditures. /APA/
