Baku. Ulkar Gasimova – APA. Baku hosted concerts of many world stars recently and this tradition continues now. The singers demand big royalties for the concerts in Baku. APA correspondent investigated the amount of honoraries of the number of famous singers for their performances in Baku.

The highest royalties – €2 million was paid to Elton John for his concert in Azerbaijan. The technical equipment used during his concert was the most expensive equipment on Baku stage. French singer Patricia Kaas received €100 000, Italian Al Bano - €200 000 for their concerts in Baku. Toto Cutugno earned $50 000 and former Modern Talking member Thomas Anders received €40 000 royalties.

Russian most expensive pop star Alla Pugacheva, who visits Baku on Thursday to give a concert at the Heydar Aliyev Palace within her farewell tour, demands €110 000. Her duo partner, showman and singer Maxim Galkin’s royalties are €50 000. Galkin gave several concerts in Baku. Russian people’s artist Nikolay Baskov, who gave a concert at the Heydar Aliyev Palace in Baku several years ago, also demanded €50 000 from the organizers. Other Russian singers – Dima Bilan received €40 000, Valeriy Meladze - €25 000, Anjelika Varum and Leonid Agutin - €25 000, “Lube” - €20 000, “Tatu” and “A-Studio” - € 15 000, Lolita - €15 000, “Na-Na” - € 10 000. “Bi-2”, “Nepara” and “Ivanushki” demanded €15 000 and most likely they will visit Baku soon.

The organizers called megastar Tarkan as the most expensive Turkish singer. He always performed “sellout” concerts in Baku and demanded different royalties. He got € 200,000. Turkish singer Ibrahim Tatlises wanted $120,000 royalties. Sezen Aksu and Ajda Pekkan got $100,000 royalties for their one-day concerts. Kayahan got € 70,000, Kenan Dogulu € 60,000, Gulben Ergen $50,000, Kibariye € 30,000, Alishan $30,000, Ferhat Gocer and Hadise € 30,000, Bengu € 20,000, Kerem Cem € 20,000 and Azeri gizi Gunel € 15,000 royalties. Turkish singers Murat Boz want $20,000, Funda Arar $30,000 and Hepsi group € 20,000 for their concerts in Azerbaijan.

As regards the world stars, who demand the highest royalties, Madonna wants € 4 million to give a concert. The singer received 400 concert offers last year, but accepted only eight of them. Madonna allows discount only when she receives offer from St. Petersburg, as she enjoys giving concert in this city.

Sting wants € 1.5 million for one-day concert. Jeniffer Lopez and Justin Timberlake want € 1 million royalties. Shakira wants € 800,000, Beyonce € 800,000, Kicky Martin € 600,000, Adriano Celentano $50,000, Eurovision-2009 winner Alexander Rybak € 30,000. Local organizers say that king of pop Michael Jackson wanted $8 million royalties to give concert in Azerbaijan.

It seems to be impossible to organize the concerts of the world stars in Azerbaijan. The organizers say that the royalties do not include technical equipment for concert hall, hotel for the delegation accompanying the singer, car and security. The organizers are responsible for this. This list also includes caprices of singers. Moreover, if the stage is not decorated as they wish, they refuse to give concert. The royalties of such singers are paid beforehand and the Azerbaijani organizers can not afford it.
