Azerbaijanâ€™s representatives take 2nd place in Eurovision televoting

Before releasing the detailed results, the EBU asked two independent auditors to look into the numbers to assure that the outcome is 100% correct, and to calculate the amount of televoting revenue that goes back to each of the participating EBU Member Broadcasters. The amount of data required from all European telecom providers is big, and the auditing process is therefore time consuming.

Azerbaijanâ€™s representatives Aysel Teymurzadeh and Arash, who took the 3rd place in the contest, were the 2nd in the televoting. But according to the jury voting they were in the 8th place. Hadise from Turkey was the 3rd in the televoting. According to the jury voting she was the 7th, in the final Turkeyâ€™s representative took the 4th place. The winner of the contest Alexander Rybak was the favorite of both the audience and the jury and took the first in both votings.
