Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli made the remarks on Wednesday during the conference “Role of youth in fight against religious radicalism” at Baku Higher Oil School.
He said even Christian churches, especially representatives of the Christian religion in Azerbaijan do not accept such groups, noting that their efforts will be prevented.
The committee chairman said that there are some radical individuals who are active on social networks not only in the name of Christianity, but also Islam.
“The State Committee is strongly working to prevent their activities. Young people should also be vigilant against them", he stressed.
Gurbanli said that religion is separated from the state in Azerbaijan.
