President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has addressed a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of his re-election as the President of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
The letter reads:
"His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Mr. President.
I congratulate Your Excellency on your reelection as President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
I hope the friendly relations between Brazil and Azerbaijan will further deepened on an international scale for the benefit of our peoples.
Seizing this opportunity, I extend my congratulations to Azerbaijan regarding the hosting of COP29 this year.
Cooperation between our countries will be especially important within the «troika» - United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan and Brazil for the implementation of the “Mission 1.5”.
Mr. President, I reiterate my interest in further strengthening the relations between Brazil and Azerbaijan.
I wish You happiness and success in your high state post."
