Civilians and non-civilian objects are not targeted by our Armed Forces in the framework of local anti-terrorist measures, only legitimate military targets are neutralized, Kanan Zeynalov, senior prosecutor of the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office, said at the briefing, APA reports.

According to him, illegal Armenian armed groups continue to carry out terrorist attacks, targeting civilians, civilian infrastructure and residential buildings, as they did during the 44-day Patriotic War: "Two employees of the State Agency of Azerbaijan Highways, who were killed as a result of a terrorist act committed by illegal Armenian armed forces on September 19, were working from there for the purpose of building road infrastructure in our territories freed from occupation.

As a result of the terrorist act, 4 police officers who fell into a mine planted by the sabotage group of the illegal Armenian armed groups and exploded, were not involved in any military operations, but were sent only to restore public order in the mentioned area."

Kanan Zeynalov noted that as a result of the terrorist attacks carried out yesterday by the armed forces of Armenia, which were illegally formed in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, 2 civilians were killed - a housing-communal and repair service engineer in Shusha city, born in 1967: "A person named Vidadi Farhadov was killed, and an attempt was made to intentionally kill Mehman Hasanov, a civilian born in 1992, an excavator operator of one of the companies carrying out reconstruction works in Agdam region, with multiple shrapnel wounds: "All this shows that illegal Armenian armed groups still continue to commit terrorist crimes against civilians as in the previous period. An investigation is conducted with the initiation of criminal cases in connection with each incident, the possible investigation actions are carried out by the prosecutor's office employees under the current conditions, and appropriate expertises have been appointed in order to determine the amount of damage caused to civil infrastructure facilities.
