The captain of a Finnair aircraft operating the Helsinki–Phuket route requested a forced landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport due to a sudden deterioration in the health of one of the passengers on board, the airport told APA-Economics.
The Airbus A350 aircraft successfully landed at Baku Airport at 00:54 local time. Immediately afterward, the passenger was promptly provided with first medical aid and was transferred to one of the city’s clinics.
The aircraft continued its flight to its destination at 02:59.
In addition, the captain of a Cargolux Airlines aircraft operating the Zhengzhou–Ashgabat route sent a request for a forced landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport due to unfavorable meteorological conditions at the destination airport.
The Boeing 747 aircraft safely landed at Baku Airport at 08:32 local time.
All measures were carried out in full compliance with established procedures and international aviation safety standards.
