Over the 11 months of 2025, the total volume of transportation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye has already reached 5.6 million tons, of which 3.5 million tons consist solely of transit shipments, said Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rahman Hummetov at the 2nd Azerbaijan–Türkiye Investment Forum, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, this year, a nearly 40% increase has been observed in railway transportation. The number of shipments by road between the two countries this year has already reached 250,000.
“I would like to mention the statistical indicators regarding air transportation. Approximately 114 flights are carried out weekly between our two countries. However, in some seasons, it even reaches 185 per week,” the Deputy Minister added.
