Last year, total retail trade turnover in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions amounted to 1 billion 980 million 519 thousand manats, the State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.
In 2025, retail trade turnover in the Karabakh economic region reached 1 billion 696 million 447 thousand manats, which is 3.8% more compared to 2024.
Over the year, retail trade turnover amounted to 15 million 184 thousand manats in the city of Khankendi (up 71.8% year-on-year), 425 million 576 thousand manats in Aghjabadi district (up 0.5%), 127 million 470 thousand manats in Aghdam district (up 4.4%), 1 million 603 thousand manats in Aghdara district (up 47.1%), 763 million 208 thousand manats in Barda district (up 4.5%), 107 million 368 thousand manats in Fuzuli district (up 9.7%), 11 million 49 thousand manats in Khojali district (fivefold increase), 5 million 766 thousand manats in Khojavand district (down 13.7%), 15 million 183 thousand manats in Shusha district (up 4.9%), and 224 million 37 thousand manats in Tartar district (down 1.6%).
Last year, retail trade turnover in the East Zangezur economic region amounted to 284 million 72 thousand manats, which is 10.5% higher compared to the previous year.
Over the 12-month period, retail trade turnover reached 29 million 773 thousand manats in Jabrayil district (up 30.8% year-on-year), 9 million 577 thousand manats in Kalbajar district (up 55.8%), 208 million 709 thousand manats in Gubadli district (up 6.7%), 17 million 442 thousand manats in Lachin district (up 33.4%), and 18 million 568 thousand manats in Zangilan district (down 3.9%).
