Last year, master plans for the cities of Astara, Lachin, Gubadli, Goytepe, Govlar, Liman, and Khudat were approved, while the coordination process for the master plan project of the city of Ganja was completed, APA-Economics reports.
This was reflected in the Report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025, which was discussed at today’s session of the Milli Majlis.
At the same time, the coordination process for the master plan project of the city of Khojaly with relevant state bodies has begun. Work has continued on the preparation of the general plan of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as the master plan projects for the cities of Nakhchivan, Ordubad, Shahbuz, Babek, Julfa, Lankaran, Aghdara, Khankendi, and Khojavend. The design work for the master plans of the cities of Shamakhi and Yevlakh has also commenced.
During the reporting period, the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture prepared and approved unified urban planning justifications for several settlements, including the villages of Chepli, Dalginli, Nadirxanli and Gilincli in Kalbajar district; Goshashu, Minkend, Dashli, Valibeyli and Hajikhanli in Lachin district; Khojavend in Khojavend district; Ulashli in Gubadli district; Yenikend in Zangilan district; Gizil Kengerli in Aghdam district; and Boyuk Marjanli, Chereken, and Balyand in Jabrayil district. In addition, urban planning justifications were approved for the settlements of Agbend in the Zangilan district and Kerkijahan in the city of Khankendi.
The report notes that out of 364 urban planning justification projects submitted to the Committee, 363 were approved in 2025, including 63 projects related to territories liberated from occupation.
