Baku to host International seminar on trade facilitation between Eastern Europe and SPECA countries

The 20th International Capacity Building Seminar on "Facilitating Transport and Trade between Eastern Europe and SPECA (United Nations Special Programme for the Economy of Central Asia)" will be held in Baku on December 11-12, organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), APA-Economics reports.

The seminar is organized by UNECE in cooperation with the Permanent Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Commission for the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (PS IGC TRACECA) and development partners.

The main goal of the event is to facilitate trade and transport between Eastern Europe and SPECA regions, as well as to increase knowledge and experience in the field of digitalization of multimodal information exchange based on UN standards.

It should be noted that SPECA is an international platform established by the UN to strengthen the economic development, regional cooperation and integration of Central Asian countries into international markets. SPECA includes 7 countries: Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
