The expansion of cargo transportation by road and rail between Azerbaijan and Iran, as well as the development of transport infrastructure, were discussed, said Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rashad Nabiyev, on his X account, APA-Economics reports.
“We held a meeting with the delegation led by Farzaneh Sadegh, Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the meeting, we discussed increasing the volume of cargo transportation by road and rail and developing transport infrastructure. An agreement was reached on preparing a roadmap in this regard. At the same time, we exchanged views on expanding regional ties on transport corridors in a multilateral format,” the minister noted.
