A report has been submitted to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regarding the attack on Nakhchivan Airport, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport told APA-Economics.
It was noted that on March 5, unmanned aerial vehicles launched from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran carried out attacks on the “Nakhchivan” International Airport in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, including its terminal building.
In accordance with the Convention on International Civil Aviation dated December 7, 1944, including Annex 17 to the Convention — “Aviation Security” — and its international standards, when an act of unlawful interference occurs at an airport, a preliminary report prepared by the member state must be submitted to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
In line with international standards, the State Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan has sent the relevant preliminary report to ICAO.
