For the purpose of expanding state border checkpoints and ensuring more efficient organization of border and customs control, a total of 8.76 hectares of state-owned land and 8.282 hectares of municipal land, including 0.49 hectares of state-owned and 5.53 hectares of Shikhli Municipality-owned land in the Gazakh district, and 8.27 hectares of state-owned and 2.752 hectares of Samur Municipality-owned land in the Gusar district, will be acquired for state needs, APA reports.
The decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The State Customs Committee must establish an appraisal commission to evaluate the acquired land, as well as the portions belonging to each owner of that land and any other property to be acquired along with them, and ensure that the acquisition of immovable property falling under the project for the expansion of border crossing points for state needs is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the “On the Acquisition of Lands for State Needs” Law.
At the same time, the State Customs Committee must ensure that the acquisition of lands subject to construction under the project for state needs is financed from the revenues of the “Azərterminalkompleks” Union under its jurisdiction, and provide the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan with information at least once every six months regarding the acquired immovable property, the individuals affected by the acquisition, and the amounts of compensation paid to them.
