The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is ready to finance projects in Nakhchivan, Head of the ADB Office in Azerbaijan, Sunniya Durrani-Jamal said in response to an inquiry from APA-Economics.
She noted that Nakhchivan is an important part of Azerbaijan: “We have not yet received an appeal regarding the development of railway connections (the Nakhchivan railway will be integrated into the Zangezur corridor – ed.), but we are very interested in investing in Nakhchivan. I believe this is important for the economic development of the region. There is great potential there, and I hope we will be able to discuss this within the framework of our country program. Because we are very interested in this project.”
