Turkey’s TRT expands coverage area in Azerbaijan

Teleradio Unit under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, told APA-Economics that TRT is now available to 40-45% of population in Azerbaijan currently. This channel is available in Baku, Absheron and Gandja.
Under the agreement signed between Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) and Azerbaijan National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) on January 24, the coverage of TRT should reach 90% in the territory of Azerbaijan.
New transmitting facilities will be installed in Baku, Lerik, Gandja, Zagatala, Aghsu, Aghstafa, Guba and Nakhchivan to expand the TRT transmission coverage in the country.
