Bakcell to incraese subscriber base by 5% until end of year

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based Bakcell Company intends to increase the subscriber base by 5% by the end of this year.

According to Ms. Ineke Botter, Bakcell’s CEO, the number of subscribers of Bakcell was 1.3 mln in February, 2009, 2 mln in August, 2010 and the number of subscribers is forecasted to be reached 2.1 mln by the end of this year.

She also noted that number of base stations hits 2 000 while it was 800 in December, 2008.

Companyâ€™s income made $ 350 mln. The number of staffs makes 1 000.

Bakcell has been in operation since 1994.
