Strike at Tel Aviv Airport in Israel Ends

Baku – APA-Economics. After eight hours of disruption strike at the Tel Aviv International Airport the strike ended after staff of Tel Aviv airport got deal from Finance and Transport Ministries over pensions, Easy Destination Blog reported.

The strike by airport staff grounded all outgoing flights and passengers of incoming flights could not collect their luggage since it remained on the flight.

The airport workers strike over pension funds protections, they feared that Israeli government could use their funds to easy the debt. After eight hours of talks, Finance Ministry assured the workers safety of their pension funds.

The strike disrupted over 29,000 passengers on the Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv. Strike took place during the Jews holidays season. Israel expects thousands of tourists during this period of the year.

The passengers at the airport faced severe problems due to cancellations of the strike. Tourists who landed on the airport also faced problems as their luggage remained at the airport. Some passengers were very angry with the airport staff for the strike.
