Azerbaijan to carry out number of transport projects

26.6-km bridge over Baku Bay (13.3-km bridge over the sea), 105-km Guba-Shamakhi highway, 405-km Hajigabul-Georgia border highway and Baku-Sumgayit railway are expected to be built within these projects, the Ministry of Transport told APA-Economics.

The Baku Bay bridge will help the transport organizations to ease traffic in the central part of the city. Guba-Shamakhi highwat will cut a distance from the central regions of the country toward the Russian borders until 156 km.

The projects will be funded by the government of Azerbaijan and other sources.
