TRACECA seminar kicks off in Baku

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-ECONOMICS. The TRACECA Intergovernmental Commission Permanent Secretariat hasted on Thursday a national seminar with the participation of representatives of governmental agencies and forwarding companies of Azerbaijan.

The seminar focused on the current situation on transport routes in the Black and Caspian Seas.

Aydin Mammadov, representative of the Government of Azerbaijan, said Azerbaijan has active participation in the TRACECA projects, particularly in regional projects aimed at the development of shipping services in the Black and Caspian Seas.

The participants discussed experiences of different countries to increase the volume of traffic, the introduction of modern standards, and transportation safety.

Akif Mustafayev, Head of the TRACECA National Secretariat in Azerbaijan noted that the project is of great importance for the development of transport in the region.

The event will hear reports on the study of the experience of leading countries and the problems in the Black and Caspian Seas.

Similar seminals will also be held in other TRACECA member states.
