According to APA, ISNA reported it quoting Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan.

It is reported that the clinic was closed as a result of the operations carried out by the employees of the Interior Ministry in June: “The employees of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Internal Affairs reviewed “Imedis” clinic owned by the Iranian citizen and confiscated a number of the devices without presenting any document. A questionnaire was sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs as the Iranian citizen appealed to the Embassy. The Ministry responded to the questionnaire nearly two months later and noted that they took this step after one citizen appealed that he was deceived by the clinic. Following this, the employees of the Iranian embassy met with the officials of Main Department for Combating Organized Crimes and asked them to clarify the issue. Main Department for Combating Organized Crimes said that the citizen complained that though "Imedis" clinic diagnosed him with intestinal parasitic disease, the other hospital didn’t detect such kind of a disease.

Main Department for Combating Organized Crimes told Iranian Embassy that they should wait for the decision of the court.

In August this year, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry issued an official statement on this issue. The statement says the investigation measures taken by the Department for Combating Organized Crime revealed the fact that the citizens were misguided by doctors at Imedis clinic. Thus, in his appeal to the department, Azerbaijani citizen Jasarat Bakhshaliyev said he was received by doctor Shalala Azimova at Imedis clinic and was diagnosed with three kinds of intestinal parasitic disease via device “Imedis Expert”. The citizen was also told that he must pass seven sessions of bio-resonance treatment via this device and the cost of treatment is AZN 160. The citizen was not satisfied with the diagnosis and appealed to the state hospital, where the diagnosis of Imedis was not confirmed. In addition, two other citizens – Faig Bakhshiyev and Seyfulla Abdullayev appealed to the Department for Combating Organized Crime with the similar complaints. The inspection conducted by the Department found out that the examination and treatment are indeed carried out via device “Imedis Expert, which was purchased by Russia at the price of AZN 2500. A questionnaire has been submitted to the Ministry of Health regarding the appointment of “Imedis Expert.”

In its response, the ministry said that this device is not exact and treatment of parasitic diseases is impossible via these devices. Thus, it has become clear that 47-year-old Sumgayit resident Leyla Mammadova and her husband, Iranian citizen Ahad Abadipasand misguided many people for a long time and fraudulently misappropriated their money.
