A person (male) born in 1983, who was injured as a result of a mine explosion in the Dudukchu village of Khojavend region, was hospitalized at 14:30 on 21.08.2026 to the Emergency Department of the Fuzuli District Central Hospital, said by TABIB in response to APA's inquiry.
It was reported that the patient, who was diagnosed with multiple shrapnel wounds to the head, neck and left half of the face, and multiple shrapnel wounds to the upper limbs and thigh, was provided with necessary medical services.
The person, whose condition was assessed as stable, was discharged home for outpatient treatment.

A mine explosion occurred in the territory of Dudukchu village in the liberated Khojavand district on August 21, 2026, the press services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) said in a joint statement, APA reports.
According to the statement, a tractor driven by Ramal Giyas oglu Shirinov, a resident of Sumgayit born in 1983, hit a mine in an area where demining operations had not yet been completed. Shirinov sustained various bodily injuries in the incident.
The Khojavand District Prosecutor's Office is investigating the incident.
ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General's Office once again urged citizens to comply with safety rules, pay close attention to mine warning signs, refrain from touching suspicious objects, avoid entering unfamiliar areas and not interfere with areas where fencing work is being carried out.
