Another person will be extradited to Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General’s Office told APA about this.
It was reported that, in accordance with the requirements of the Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters dated October 7, 2002, the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office for the extradition of Azerbaijani citizen Nahid Rasim oglu Alijanli was granted by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.
Thus, as reasonable suspicions were established that Nahid Rasim oglu Alijanli had committed an offense stipulated under Article 333.4-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (unauthorized absence from a military unit or place of service for more than three months) as part of a criminal case under preliminary investigation by the Gubadli Military Prosecutor’s Office, a decision was made to charge him as an accused. As he fled and went into hiding from the investigation, he was placed on the international wanted list.
Currently, the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice is taking relevant measures in accordance with international procedures to bring him to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
