According to him, the wounded persons are the residents of Pireyvanli village near Parsabad city.
“The investigations found out that they violated Azerbaijan’s border with the view of fishing in the Araz river. Azerbaijani frontier guards fired at them. Both wounded persons managed to flee. They are being treated at Parsabad hospital of Mughan,” he said.
APA reports quoting military sources that the persons, who crossed the Araz river from Iran and came to Azerbaijan under the pretext of fishing, were armed.
The citizens of Iran ignored the order of the Azerbaijani frontier guards, showed resistance and fired. Following this, the frontier guards took adequate steps.
