Presentation on civil defense system in Azerbaijan held in Gabala

APA reports that chief of the Main Department of the Civil Defense Troops of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Colonel Mirza Asgarov has made a presentation.

Asgarov spoke about the organization of civil defense, leadership, planning and implementation of the activities by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The conference is being attended by Uzbekistani Minister of Emergency Situations Tursinkhan Khudaybergenov, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Emergency Situations Kubatbek Boronov, Latvian Interior Minister Rihards Kozlovskis, Malian Minister of Internal Security and Civil Defense Tiefing Konaté, chairman of Tajikistan’s Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense Khairiddin Abdurahimov, Kazakh Minister of Emergency Situations Vladimir Bozhko, Belarusian Minister of Emergency Situations Vladimir Vaschenko, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters Sergey Shlyakov and others.

The conference is organized by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations on the initiative of the International Civil Defense Organization. More than 155 representatives from 54 countries and various international organizations are attending the conference.
