We will try to solve this issue in the coming months,” chairman of National Television and Radio Council Nushiravan Maharramli told APA. He said that in February-March, the President will pass a decision on allocation of funds for TV series.
The chairman underlined that he can’t say anything about the amount of the funds. He noted currently, shooting of TV series is being continued at the expenses of TV channels, not at the expense of the state: “The state has not undertaken a commitment to allocate funds for TV series every year. The funds will be designated for 2013.”
Maharammli said that it is still unknown whether the funds will be allocated to regional TV channels or not: “After the funds are allocated, we will discuss which channels should get the money.”
