Khanlar Valiyev said the activities carried out to struggle against crimes, strengthen legal order in the Armed Forces last year were efficient, 99.3% of the crimes recorded in the reporting period were solved.
“Compared to 2011 crimes recorded in the Armenian Forces and other army units reduced by 0.4%, crimes against military service by 1.5%, including crimes against subordination rules by 6.7%, draft evasion by 4.3%, desertion by 35%, unauthorized absence by 4.4%, abuse of power by 20%, negligent service by 40.7%, violation of driving rules by 50%, crimes against property by 4.8%, death rate in army units by 2.3%, premeditated murder by 8.7%. ”
"Violation of mutual regulations among servicemen, who are not in subordination relations, violation of rules of handling weapons or items posing threat to others, intentional physical injuries increased. Action plan was prepared together with the Defense Ministry and other agencies to prevent the crimes, was confirmed and its implementation was ensured. Measures are being continued,” he said.
