Mustafayev said that he met Gular Ahmadova on March 12: “She is still sick and is being treated in her ward. We discussed our tactics. She considers that the videos released by Elshad Abdullayev have been cut. The law does not take them as evidence. Thus, the videos should be regarded as groundless. Gular Ahmadova won’t give a testimony on these videos, but will give testimony on other issues. We also consider groundless the expert opinion on the videos. In fact, we have not been familiarized with the expert opinion. Anyway, if the videos are fake, we should not expect anything from the expert opinion.”
Gular Ahmadova faced charges under articles 178.3.2 and 307.2 of the Criminal Code and was sentenced to pretrial detention.
