The Ministry’s press service told APA that the Department received information that resident of Jalilabad region, 28-year-old Shamkhal Abishov attempted to sell Kalashnikov machine gun with the bullets. The operation was immediately conducted and ex-inmate Abishov was caught red-handed while selling the weapon. The detained person said that he found the weapon in Keshla settlement a few days ago.
He began to seek a client for the weapon. At last, Abishov found a client and agreed to sell the weapon for AZN 1100. Money, Kalashnikov machine gun, one charger and 27 7,62 caliber ballots were seized on him as a material evidence. It is being investigated whether the weapon was used in any crime or not.
Criminal case has been launched on the fact, investigation is underway.
