Reports that Azerbaijani died in Kazakhstan plane crash refuted  - <span style="color: red;">UPDATED

Azerbaijani embassy in Kazakhstan told APA that Astana Transport Prosecutor’s Office mistakenly announced that Akram Nizamov is the citizen of Azerbaijan.

The investigations showed that Nizamov is the citizen of Uzbekistan.

Baku. Shamil Alibeyli-APA. Azerbaijani Akram Nizamov died in the plane crash in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijani embassy in Kazakhstan told APA. The embassy said the information about the dead was given by Astana prosecutor’s office. The nationality of the Azerbaijani, who died in the crash, is being specified.

A passenger plane owned by SCAT airline, which has been en route from the city of Kokshetau in northern Kazakhstan to Almaty in the southeast of the country, crashed. 21 people on board were killed. The foggy weather in Almaty likely caused the accident.
