Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh - APA. An appeal has been filed against the court decision on arrest of chairman of “REAL” movement Ilgar Mammadov, lawyer Fuad Agayev told APA. Agayev said they demand repeal of the decision on arrest, as it is illegal.
Musavat Party deputy chairman Tofig Yagublu and chairman of “REAL” movement Ilgar Mammadov faced charges under articles 233 (organizing or actively participating in the actions causing violation of public order) and 315.2 (using force or resisting to the government representative) of the Criminal Code.
They are accused of violating public order and instigating the citizens to conflicts during Ismayilli incidents on January 23 and 24. They were sentenced to two months in prison.
