Military ammunition was discovered while a grave was being dug at the Garaghaji cemetery in the Aghdam district, ANAMA said in response to APA's inquiry.
It was noted that after information about the incident was received by the “Hotline” of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an operational team was dispatched to the area.
During an inspection of the area, military ammunition left over from the First Karabakh War was discovered at a depth of approximately 1.5 meters underground.
The discovered military ammunition was neutralized by the Agency’s employees, and the safety of the area was ensured.
ANAMA once again called on citizens to comply with safety rules, pay close attention to mine warning signs, refrain from entering unfamiliar areas, avoid touching unknown objects, and report dangerous situations to the 805, 102, or 112 hotlines.
