A man who was reported to have drowned in the sea has left the country by air, APA’s southern bureau reports.
At around 19:00 on August 19, police received a report that 36-year-old Masalli resident Elmar Mammadli had drowned at a beach on the Caspian Sea in Astara and that his body had gone missing in the water.
Measures carried out by officers of the Astara District Police Department established that Mammadli had not drowned and had left the country by air on August 20.
The investigation is ongoing.
It should be noted that three days ago, a report was received that a person had drowned in the Caspian Sea in Astara’s Bulvar area. Elmar Beybala oglu Mammadli, born in 1990 and a resident of Kosagul village in Masalli district, was reported to have gone to the sea to swim with close relatives.
Elmar Mammadli is married and a father of five.
