Father and 13-year-old son die from carbon monoxide poisoning in Baku, another minor child poisoned

A father and his 13-year-old son died from carbon monoxide poisoning in an apartment in Baku, while another child of the family was hospitalized, APA reports.

The incident occurred on June 7 in an apartment located on 20 Yanvar Street in the Nasimi district.

According to the information, Abulfaz Abiyev, born in 1974, and his son Kamran Abiyev, born in 2013, died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Another child of the family, Nurlan Abiyev, born in 2005, was taken to hospital with symptoms of poisoning. His condition is reported to be serious.

An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Nasimi District Prosecutor's Office.

Note that Kamran Abiyev was a seventh-grade student at Secondary School No. 247 in the Nasimi district. The school shared information about his death on its social media account.
