“Everything is fine. My parents should not worry,” Azerbaijani citizen Samid Ibadzadeh, who was injured in a drone attack on a vessel in the Sea of Azov today, said this in a video statement to APA’s Russia bureau.
Samid Ibadzadeh, who is currently in the traumatology department of the Yeisk Central City Hospital, noted that his condition is stable.
Note that on June 5, the cargo vessels “Natra” and “Zircon” came under attack by unmanned aerial vehicles in the Taganrog Bay of the Sea of Azov.
Head of the Press Service Department of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aykhan Hajizada said that two foreign cargo vessels carrying a total of 25 Azerbaijani citizens on board were attacked by drones during the night.
He noted that the vessels do not belong to the Azerbaijani state. According to information received from the Russian side, five Azerbaijani citizens were killed and three others were injured as a result of the attack. The injured were hospitalized in the city of Yeisk.
The identities of two of those killed in the drone strike on the vessel in the Sea of Azov have been identified. Azerbaijani citizens Gismat Aliyev and Fuad Orujov were killed as a result of a drone strike on a vessel sailing under the Palau flag.
