A criminal case has been launched in connection with the explosion that occurred on the premises of the “Azerbaijanfilm” studio, APA reports, citing the Press Service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
An investigation is being conducted by the Prosecutor General’s Office following the explosion accompanied by a fire on June 26 at around 11:00 PM at the “Azerbaijanfilm” studio named after Jafar Jabbarli, located at 1 Moskva Avenue, Yasamal district, Baku.
According to the report, based on the collected materials, a criminal case has been initiated under Articles 314.2 (negligence which have entailed on imprudence death of the victim or other heavy consequences,) and 224 (Abuse of regulations of accounting, storage, transportation and use of explosive, inflammable substances and pyrotechnic products) of the Criminal Code. The preliminary investigation has been assigned to the Department of Criminalistics and Information Technology of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing, and further information will be provided to the public.
