The State Border Service of Azerbaijan detained 18 individuals for violating the state border during April, the Press Center of the State Border Service told APA.
4 of them were citizens of Azerbaijan, 4 of Afghanistan, 3 of Iran, 3 of Morocco, 2 of Nigeria, 1 of Pakistan, and 1 of Algeria.
As a result of measures to combat illegal migration, 6 individuals attempting to cross the state border using forged date stamps and passports, as well as documents belonging to others, were detained. Additionally, 58 individuals were detained for violating border regime rules, and appropriate measures were taken against them.
Contraband goods with a total value of 2,168,103 manats were detected and seized, including foreign currency, firearms and their ammunition, medicinal products, and tobacco products.
