During August 2026, 17 people were detained by the State Border Service for violating the state border, APA reports, citing the Press Center of the State Border Service.
According to the information, six of them were citizens of Azerbaijan, six of Iran, two of Pakistan, two of Algeria and one of Türkiye.
As a result of measures to combat illegal migration, six people were detained while attempting to cross the state border using falsified date stamps and passports, as well as documents belonging to other persons.
57 people were detained for violating border regime rules, and appropriate measures were taken against them.
As a result of measures to combat crime, 317 people wanted by law enforcement agencies were detained and handed over to the relevant authorities, while 764 people who were prohibited from leaving the country were prevented from doing so, and 35 people who were banned from entering the country were prevented from entering.
As a result of measures to combat the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, 266 kilograms and 873 grams of narcotic substances and 5,236 pills of various compositions were detected and seized from illegal circulation, including 28 kilograms and 500 grams of narcotic substances transported by an unmanned aerial vehicle in one case.
It was noted that measures to ensure the reliable protection of the state borders are continuing.
